A summer of strikes is hitting Heathrow – here’s everything you need to know!
Staff at the UK’s largest airport, Heathrow, have announced plans to strike which could cause severe delays and disruption.
Over 4,000 workers are set to down tools during the summer season, including security officers, engineers, passenger service drivers and operatives.
The planned strikes dates are:
• Friday 26th July
• Saturday 27th July
• Monday 5th August
• Tuesday 6th August
• Friday 23rd August
• Saturday 24th August
How will it affect me?
The workers union, Unite, has described the strikes as “a move that could potentially shut down the airport”.
Whilst it still remains to be seen whether or not the strikes will go ahead as planned, Heathrow is rapidly trying to come up with contingency plans.
