What: The Beverly Hills hotel’s history is laced with star-spangled romance: Elizabeth Taylor honeymooned here with six of her seven husbands; Faye Dunaway learnt how to swim in the pool; and a Yoko Ono and John Lennon ‘bed-in’ was staged in one of the bungalows. Old, classic Hollywood through and through, this hotel feels loved and lived in, with the most lavish of hotel decors running throughout. Don’t miss out on a spot to eat at the Polo Lounge, the site of many a Hollywood deal!
Where: 9641 Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
What: Named after the 26th president of the United States – Theodore Roosevelt, this hotel is right on Hollywood Boulevard (home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame) and is full to the brim with Hollywood royalty (it’s also where the first Academy Awards ceremony was held, way back in 1929). This iconic hotel has an amazing total of eight restaurants, bars and lounges on-site; our favourite being 25 Degrees (a 24-hour hamburger restaurant located just off the hotel lobby). Most of the 300 rooms and suites are in the Roosevelt’s original 1927 tower, all of which have been fabulously renovated with a mix of classic and contemporary accents.
Where: 7000 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028
