8 of Europe’s Most Instagram Friendly Hotels

What’s that we hear you say? Want to make the most out of travelling in Europe, whilst you still can!?

Without a doubt, social media has transformed the way we travel, whether it is for business or pleasure! So, whether it’s share-worthy moments in a picture-perfect hotel room or Instagram-worthy breakfasts in bed, here are our collection of epic suggestions in Europe!

Hoxton Hotel, Paris

What: This 18th Century city mansion once owned by architect Nicolas d’Orbay, advisor to Louis XV, now plays host to the largest Hoxton hotel, complete with the original spiral staircases in both the lobby and the bar!

Each of the 176 rooms feature wood panelling, chevron timber floors and cornicing, playing homage to its local designers. Pick a top-floor room for some of the best Instagram shots in Paris!

Where: 30-32 Rue du Sentier, 75002 Paris

The Royal Bravarian, 25hours Hotel, Munich

What: Munich’s 25hours hotel is a one-off indie addition to the city’s booming hotel scene! All of the 25hours hotel’s have wonderfully unique designs; this in particular one plays homage to city’s industrial and Bavarian heritage, with exposed brickworks and an original metal lift running through the middle of the central staircase.

For some of the best Insta shots, head to the restaurant to see grand chandeliers hung from the glass roof or the lobby for functioning typewriters and a chair topped with a herd of soft swans

Where: Bahnhofpl. 1, 80335 München

Mama Shelter, Marseille

What: This boutique hotel designed by Philippe Starck, is a slick addition to Marseille’s quaint back streets. Behind the building’s drab façade, lies a vibrant social scene, complete with a live stage and a giant Football table (of course)!

The décor in each of the rooms is on point with the Mama Shelter brand, complete with concrete walls that set off stunning pastel furniture, #OOTD mirrors and colourful floors! They also come with an iMac pre-loaded with movies (what more could you want)! If all else fails, you can still take selfies in the comic masks provided…maybe you’re feeling more Superman than Scooby Doo?

Where: 64 Rue de la Loubière, 13006 Marseille

Hotel nhow, Berlin

What: Billed as Europe’s first ‘music hotel’, the nhow Berlin hosts regular open mike nights, has two sound studios and will send a guitar or keyboard to your room when the inspiration hits! On the outside, the hotel appears as a boxy, crane-like structure, on the inside it’s quite the opposite – with curvaceous shapes and an amazing pop art aesthetic!

Along with the seriously cool interior design (worthy of many Insta pics), this hotel offers cool perks, like borrowing a SEAT free of charge! Most rooms come with a great view of the Spree, but our favourite is the riverfront terrace, which just happens to be one of the best spots in the city for a cocktail with a view!

Where: Stralauer Allee 3, 10245 Berlin

The Dixon, London

What: At a glance, it’s hard to believe that this sleek and stylish hotel was once the home to courtrooms, a police station and jail cells. Thieves and cells are long gone from the Tower Bridge Magistrates’ Court, but decades later the hotel still keeps its Edwardian heritage. The attention to detail is second to none, with restored original flooring to a grand chandelier with 60 handcuffs finished in gold leaf set into it.

The real highlight though is the hotel’s bar and restaurant! The Courtroom bar serves drinks under the original structure of the judge’s bench and the restaurant includes two fully restored jail cells!

Where: 211 Tooley St, London SE1 2JX

W Barcelona, Barcelona

What: Towering over Barcelona’s beaches, this five star luxury hotel has all you need for a great time and of course a decent tan! All of the 473 rooms provide a majestic view of the sweeping beaches and the city that lies beneath it, but the best views are from the Wow suites, so all you need to do is lay back and enjoy the breathtaking view from your circular bed!

Now if that doesn’t float your boat, why not head to the Sun Deck, but make sure you grab a cabana for all those swimsuit changes during impromptu photoshoots at the infinity pool!

Where: Plaça Rosa Del Vents 1, Final, Passeig de Joan de Borbó, 08039 Barcelona

Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen, Copenhagen

What: This hotel promises an energetic alternative to the typical hotel experience! From the moment you enter the tech-laden lobby, it’s apparent that this hotel is aimed at 21st century hospitality for the Instagram generation.

The large, open-plan ground floor is zoned into work, play and eat areas with quirky Copenhagen themed features, like a mermaid mural and light fittings created from bike wheels! If you want to experience Copenhagen like the locals then grab one of the Moxy bikes!

Where: Sydhavns Pl. 2, 2450 København

The Alex, Dublin

What: In the heart of Georgian Dublin, housed in a former train station, The Alex has been an Instagrammers’ favourite since it opened its doors! Think natural light, gleaming light fittings, plush sofas and Anglepoise lamps – all mixed with 1920’s styling!

This hotel really honours its Irish heritage from herringbone throws from Foxford Woolen Mills, to food and drink sourced from only the best local Irish brands! One things for sure, at The Alex a good-looking Insta pic is guaranteed.
