With Halloween steadily creeping up on us, we’ve decided to take a look back through some of our favourite horror films of all time. It took a while, but we’ve rounded up our top five favourites.
The Conjuring (2013)
What’s creepier than a farmhouse in the middle of no where? Not much! Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family who are being terrorized by a dark presence in their (already terrifying) farmhouse. Psst – we worked on The Conjuring 2!
Saw (2004)
If you’ve seen this film, you will definitely remember the horrific opening scene where two men wake to find themselves chained in a large filthy bathroom, with one being ordered to kill the other, or his family will die. And that was just the beginning! gulp.
Scream (1996)
This is a bit of a classic – starring huge faces such as Courteney Cox, Drew Barrymore and David Arquette, the film follows the character or Sidney who becomes the target of a mysterious killer known as Ghostface. Although now the film may seem comical, it definitely still gives us the creeps!
The Shining (1980)
Throwing all the way back to 1980, this movie which is based on Stephen King’s 1977 novel is about Jack Torrance, an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic who takes up a position as an off-season caretaker. When Jack’s son, Danny reveals he has supernatural abilities, things rapidly turn south and Jack’s sanity deteriorates. It is now regarded one of the greatest horror films ever made!
World War Z (2013)
When a zombie pandemic occurs, Gerry Lane travels the world in a race against time – in an attempt to stop them destroying humanity entirely! P.s – we worked on this!
