We’re pleased to announce that we will soon be sharing a stand at FOCUS 2025 with Screen Staffordshire.
As a proud Staffordshire-based business, this partnership couldn’t feel more aligned. We’ve built our reputation supporting film and TV productions for over 35 years, and to now stand alongside a new local initiative with such bold ambition for the region’s screen sector is a moment of real pride.
Staffordshire County Council’s investment of £300,000 into a three-year pilot programme shows a clear commitment to putting the county on the national and international filming map. And, with Jonny Shelton at the helm as Film Office Manager, bringing extensive experience from Creative UK and The Production Guild of Great Britain, Screen Staffordshire is already making waves.
In just their first six months, the film office has managed over 60 production enquiries, facilitated more than 20 shoot days, and contributed £425,000 in local economic impact—and that’s all before their official launch event at Hoar Cross Hall in June.
James Austin, Director of Organisational Development, said: “At Access Bookings, we believe some of the best partnerships are the ones closest to home. Screen Staffordshire’s vision to empower local talent, drive regional investment, and grow the county’s creative credentials reflects so much of what we stand for.
“Together, we’ll be heading to FOCUS 2025 with shared purpose, looking to connect with producers, studios, and crews ready to film in and around Staffordshire.”
Staffordshire County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, Councillor Martin Murray, adds: “Staffordshire is the beating heart of the country, and Screen Staffordshire is here for the good of the county. The film office’s success will be enhanced if we strengthen ties with key personnel and organisations in Staffordshire such as Access Bookings.
“Our new film office has already given a boost to business and this will further increase thanks to our partnership with Access Bookings. It will support Staffordshire’s economy and profile and show the county is no longer being forgotten but promoted globally.”
